Warrior Catfish - (Hemiarius dioctes)
Fish Details, Description and Information Below:

🐟 Warrior Catfish – (Hemiarius dioctes) – Powerful Brackish & Freshwater Predator Catfish

The Warrior Catfish (Hemiarius dioctes) is a robust, predatory sea catfish species found in rivers, estuaries, and coastal waters across Southeast Asia and northern Australia. Known for its muscular build, sharp dorsal and pectoral spines, and strong predatory instincts, this species thrives in both brackish and freshwater environments. Its silver-gray body and large head give it a commanding presence, while its aggressive feeding behavior makes it a thrilling addition for experienced predatory fish keepers.

In the wild, Warrior Catfish are opportunistic hunters, feeding on fish, crustaceans, and mollusks. They can adapt well to aquarium life if provided with ample space, strong filtration, and a varied meaty diet. Due to their large adult size and territorial nature, they are best kept in predator-only setups or with other large, fast-moving tankmates.
