• Africa: basins of the Nile, Chad, Niger, Gambia, Senegal, Volta and coastal basins of Sassandra, Bandama, Comoé, Tano, Pra, Ouémé, Ogun and Sanaga, which seems to represent its southern distributional limit. Also known from the Cross River in Cameroon.

• 6"-7" Approx.

Aquarium Size:

• This is a medium sized fish, so a large aquarium is not needed but these fish do like to school.
