Siamese Tiger Fish/ST Datnoid - (Datnioides Pulcher)
Fish Details, Description and Information Below:

🐟 Siamese Tiger Fish / ST Datnoid (Datnioides pulcher)

The Siamese Tiger Fish, or ST Datnoid, is considered the rarest, largest-growing, and most expensive of all datnoid species. Originating from Southeast Asia, this stunning predatory fish is revered by collectors worldwide for its beauty, intelligence, and status.

ST Datnoids are often graded based on the quality and characteristics of their vertical bars — such as whether the bars are fully wrapped, how thick or dark they are, whether they are smooth or jagged, and how cleanly they contrast against the body.

Additionally, their body shape can significantly increase their value — with short body, tall body, or hi-body forms being far rarer and commanding premium prices.

🪙 In Asian cultures, owning a high-grade ST Datnoid is seen as a true status symbol, representing prestige, wealth, and success — much like Arowanas.

This species was once thought extinct in the wild and remains extremely difficult to acquire, especially in high grades. For elite hobbyists, this fish is a living trophy.
