The Wallago Catfish (Wallago attu) is a massive, predatory freshwater catfish native to rivers and lakes across South and Southeast Asia, including India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, and Indonesia. Known for its elongated body, huge mouth, and powerful hunting ability, the Wallago Catfish is a top predator in its natural habitat.

Capable of reaching lengths of 6 feet (183 cm) in the wild, this species is best suited for public aquariums or extremely large private setups. It is an aggressive hunter that feeds on fish, crustaceans, and other aquatic animals, often swallowing prey nearly half its own size. Its speed, strength, and raw power make it one of the most respected monster fish among experienced aquarists.
