The Tropheus sp. ‘Black’ Caramba, commonly called the Tropheus Caramba, is a stunning herbivorous cichlid native to the rocky shorelines of Lake Tanganyika in East Africa. This species is known for its dramatic jet-black body contrasted by a vivid red-to-orange band across the midsection, making it one of the most eye-catching Tropheus varieties. Active, social, and highly territorial, the Caramba thrives in large, rock-filled aquariums with stable water conditions and a diet rich in vegetable matter.
