The Fly River Turtle, also known as the Pig Nose Turtle, is a unique freshwater turtle native to northern Australia and southern New Guinea. Recognized by its distinctive pig-like snout and flipper-like limbs, it is the only freshwater turtle species with flippers, resembling sea turtles. These turtles are considered the holy grail of freshwater turtles due to their rarity, unique appearance, and specialized care requirements.
