Tropical Gar - (Atractosteus Tropicus)
Fish Details, Description and Information Below:

🐟 Tropical Gar – (Atractosteus tropicus) – Ancient Freshwater Predator

The Tropical Gar (Atractosteus tropicus) is a prehistoric freshwater predator native to Central America and southern Mexico, belonging to one of the oldest fish lineages on Earth. With its elongated torpedo-shaped body, armor-like ganoid scales, and long tooth-filled snout, the Tropical Gar is built for ambush hunting in slow-moving waters. It is the southernmost species of gar and can thrive in both freshwater and slightly brackish habitats.
