🐟 Trimac Cichlid / Three Spot Cichlid – (Amphilophus trimaculatus) – Powerful and Colorful Central American Cichlid

The Trimac Cichlid (Amphilophus trimaculatus), also called the Three Spot Cichlid, is a bold, vibrant, and highly territorial Central American cichlid prized for its intense coloration and commanding presence. Native to rivers and lakes of Central America, this species is known for its bright yellow to gold base color accented with a series of three large black spots along the body, plus iridescent green and red highlights. The Trimac’s strong personality and stunning appearance make it a favorite among keepers of large, aggressive cichlids.

Note: The Trimac seems to have had a prior healed injury on its side.
