Known for its elongated, laterally compressed body, continuous undulating fin movement, and distinct marbled pattern, this knifefish adds a fascinating presence to large aquariums. Its common name “Pom Pom” comes from the fleshy growths (papillae) near its mouth, giving it a distinctive look compared to other knifefish.
