The Pearl Gourami (Trichopodus leeri) is one of the most beautiful and peaceful freshwater aquarium fish, loved for its shimmering pearl-like spots and elegant, flowing fins. Native to the slow-moving rivers, swamps, and peat bogs of Southeast Asia, this species is a calm and graceful swimmer, making it perfect for community tanks.

With their iridescent silver bodies covered in tiny white “pearls” and a distinct black horizontal stripe, Pearl Gouramis add a touch of elegance to any aquascape. Males develop vibrant orange-red coloring on the throat and chest during breeding, making them even more stunning.
