The Rose-Spotted Pleco (Hypostomus roseopunctatus) is a beautiful and rarely seen loricariid from South America, instantly recognizable by its rosy-pink to reddish spots scattered across a dark brown body. This striking coloration makes it one of the more visually unique members of the Hypostomus genus.

Native to clear and moderately flowing waters, it is a hardy species that adapts well to aquarium life when given the proper space, hiding spots, and high-quality diet.
