🐟 Red Devil Cichlid / Midas Cichlid / Midevil Cichlid – (Amphilophus citrinellus) – Large Central American Cichlid for Sale
The Red Devil Cichlid (Amphilophus citrinellus), often confused with the Midas Cichlid, is a bold, intelligent, and highly territorial fish native to lakes and rivers in Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Selective breeding and hybridization in the aquarium hobby have also produced Midevil Cichlids, which are hybrids between Red Devils and Midas Cichlids.
These cichlids are famous for their bright orange, red, or white coloration, powerful jaws, and engaging personalities. They can become very attached to their owners, often interacting at the glass—but their aggressive nature means they require large tanks and carefully chosen tankmates.
